Broken toe?

Over a month a child%26#039;s guitar fell straight forward onto the top of my foot..on top of my big toe where the top of the foot connects to the toe..if that makes sense. If you wear ballet flats, you will know where I mean.

One of the pointed things that hold guitar strings, fell directly onto it and hurt SO bad when it happened but eventually the pain went away.I woke up that night with this awful pain in my toe so I got up to look at it and it was bruised and swollen with a tiny cut where the guitar had fell.

Well I had to go to work the next morning and had to buy a pair of footies to wear bc I couldn%26#039;t wear shoes at all.

So after about 2 weeks I tried to wear regular shoes again with tops that cover the whole top of your feet..I took a step and the top of the shoe pressed on it and it hurt badly.

So from then on it%26#039;s just hurt. Not a bad pain anymore but a numby, dull pain. All I can wear is ballet flats and even they are uncomfortable now.

If it%26#039;s broken, what can be done?

Broken toe?
I regret to say that not much. You can medical tape it to the toe next to it for support, and I suggest buying a pair of tennis shoes that are 1 size too big so they don%26#039;t press too much. I sympathize...I have three right now from pointe.

Good luck!
Reply:Go see a podiatrist
Reply:When I broke my toe all the Dr. did was exray it .....said yes its broken then he buddy taped it to the next toe to it so it would grow straight. Then he gave me a %26quot;shoe%26quot; to wear which would prevent me from bending my foot when I walked. It looked alike a very hard bottom with a velcro straps that went across the foot. Just take Ibuprofen for the pain and try and walk without bending your toe....its amazing how much we use our toes to walk. It takes it awhile to heal.....Good Luck!
Reply:You need to go and get it x-rayed. Then you and the doctor(s) can see if it%26#039;s truly broken or not.
