Where can I find field boots that will fit me?

Here%26#039;s the dilema: I have a wide calf, a wide foot, but a short leg. I need a boot less than $150. Do you know of any brands or places to get boots that will fit me?

calf at the widest part: 15 or 16 inches

Part of foot right below toes (across, widest part): 5 inches

From anckle bone to bottom of knee: 12 or 13 inches

Shoe size: ladie%26#039;s 7 or 7 1/2

children%26#039;s 6 or 6 1/2

Just ask if you need any more info! Thanks!!!

Check out Doversaddlery.com, I think you can even call them to get help. They are great and most of the customer reps are riders too.
Reply:Save up your money sister, because you are going to take a custom boot. I don%26#039;t know why they don%26#039;t make this size to put on the shelf, because it%26#039;s not uncommon size!

However, there are some field boots that have the extra XXL gusset in the calf that will stretch, and they say that when you wear them they will fall a few inches around the ankle - so you may want to check that out @ www.doversaddlery.com

Most custom boots in your size will be about $800 US dollars, but check out this link. You can special order and have a custom fit with this boot for about $400 US dollars.

I%26#039;ve done a lot of research on these boots and plan to order some for myself!!
Reply:I also have a very wide foot and calf. I bought a pair of wide calf field boots, but they were still too narrow. Since I didn%26#039;t have enough money for customs, I took them to a shoe shop and had the guy put in a 7 inch by 1 inch piece of elastic in the inside of the calf. This gave my boots a great fit, they streach to go around my calf, and then hold really tight!

However after all of that, the foot part is still pretty narrow. So a friend of mine gave me a great recomendation. Buy men%26#039;s boots!!! Men%26#039;s boots typically run wider in both the foot and calf.

Hope one of those can help you!
Reply:I have the same problem. =[ I%26#039;ve been looking for cheap-ish boots for a long time. (Luckily for me I ride mostly western, and am not in a hurry to show english=] )

I%26#039;ve seen boots from $100-$200 that may fit you at State Line Tack and Dover Saddlery (www.statelinetack.com and www.doversaddlery.com) Most boots have a size chart, so just keep looking. =]

Good luck.
Reply:There is a lot of riding boots on ebay for great prices and if not than you should get a pair specially made. Good Luck
